Pimped out shells n cheese.
* A box of Amy’s Natural Shells and Cheese, premade the night before, because I had to fit in time to catch up on Modern Family. I laced it with 1 Tablespoon Nutritional Yeast to bump up the health value (and my kids never know the difference), add cheese slices cut into a circle and wavy lion hair, a little nori seaweed cut out for the face, and lunch is done the night before. I’m lucky that my kids school will heat up their lunches for them so I just pack it cold the night before. This could be done in a thermos as well, but the face gets a wee bit melty =).
Bunny Slipper Lunch!
Doing another version of these for my daughter’s lunch tomorrow. These will be made out of her new fave ham and cheese sammich, with the bread cut into bunny slipper shapes. Everything holds together nicely with cream cheese and the facial features made out of nori seaweed using nori punches (you can get them in my shop or many places online). and ham for the ears and nose. Simple and she never wants to trade this lunch =)
Pink Popcorn Balls
makes 2 dozen 3-inch balls
1/4 cup butter (yup, a whole stick, yum!)
1 bag (10 oz) mini marshmallows
1 tsp. vanilla
10 cups popped popcorn, or 2 microwave popcorn bags
1 small pkg jello (any flavor) I used cherry for the pink balls
Place butter and marshmallows in large glass bowl. Microwave 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, until marshmallows are melted. Add dry Jell-o mix and stir. Pour mixture over popcorn. Stir to cover popcorn. You can use a fun popcorn baller to form the balls…
Or, spray hands with cooking spray and form into balls.
You can add sticks after you form the balls.
I am a total sucker for something cute. I found this at Cost Plus, maple syrup in a penguin bottle, over the top cuteness!! And I don’t even like maple syrup, haha!
Pink Popcorn Ball ornaments.
Thought this would be a fun party idea. I’m not gonna lie, these babies are super easy to make and way yummy! I’ll be passing a bunch of these out to total strangers tomorrow since I made way too many. I’ll post the recipe tomorrow, my son is in the middle of a long story about a Pokemon dream, haha! Have a great night all!
Ice breaker Shrimp Cocktail
I like these shrimp cocktails because you put them in little bread bowls for your guests to carry around while mingling. Yummy and a conversation starter, double win! They eyes are made of seaweed stuck on with a little of the cocktail sauce and mouth and bow are cut from a radish and held in place with toothpicks. I need to crash some parties with these!
Halloween s’mores. Super fast owl marshmallows with nutella on a graham cracker. Ok, way better than a s’more. I’m watching 6 kids tonight (say a little prayer), so I thought this would be a fun Halloween craft for us. Wish me luck!
Cute dip idea for your next party:). Hummus and pita chips, a few peppers and basil (cheese for the head and seaweed for the face). Takes about 10-15”.
I guess I have Christmas on the brain, I wanted to make another cute halloween munchie for the kids but, wahlah… Christmas came out. And of course, as soon as I started, both kids came in to “help” me put all the cookies together (one cookie for the dog, 2 for them, haha!!)
Halloween Olive Monsters.
My kids love olives so this is an easy sell. Little cheese eyes cut out with a straw stick right on. This will be a little addition to dinner tonight. I don’t think these would survive being tossed about in a lunch bag =)
Found these freaking adorable harajuku kids purses at target (aka, our second home)… Thought it would make a cute lunch bag with a harajuku girl sammich! My daughter will have the most fashion forward lunch evahhhhh!!!
Get this coolest shopping bag EVAHHH… Thought I’d do a giveaway for Breast Cancer Month with this Eco-fab shopping bag. Comes with a pen to write your shop list on the bag, wipes off for your next shopping trip, über cool, no??
How to score this?? Just reblog, retweet or share and your entered in! I’ll also throw in one of the cute cheese graters I featured on my site :)
Winner chosen October 30! Thanks for playing!
From this awesome revolving sushi place in the Topanga Mall. I got the lucky roll because I figured I could use all the extra luck I can get seeing how I’m doing my first marathon this weekend. Extra bonus for this roll, it was yummy AND cute!
I’m such a bad cute food mommy, haven’t done a lot in the way of cute food lately for my munchkins. My daughter asked for koi in her lunch so I made this little quick rice dish for her lunch tomorrow. I freehand cut the koi out of colby cheese and placed on top of blue colored rice. Very quick, she was happy =).
How tweet is this?? I have a couple extra of these cute bottle stoppers I’ll list in my shop, but seriously, I fell in love with this little birdie. I actually use it on a pretty glass water bottle to put on the table at mealtime, a little thing I borrowed from the Frenchies. Ooh la laahhh!!!
